The short answer

  • Printed wall graphics are usually priced per square foot. In CorPro's estimator, starting rates are about $22/sq ft for adhesive vinyl, $24 for removable vinyl, $28 for textured vinyl, $32 for printed wallpaper, and $38 for fabric, before installation.
  • Larger walls cost less per square foot: volume pricing begins at 200, 500, and 1,000 square feet.
  • The wall surface matters as much as the material. Smooth, painted drywall is ideal; block, brick, and textured walls need the right film and installation technique.
  • Projects have a $500 minimum. Most wall graphics are installed in a day or less once printed.

What counts as a "wall graphic"?

Wall graphics cover everything from a single logo wall in a reception area to floor-to-ceiling photo murals, gym and cafeteria graphics, donor walls, conference-room themes, and hallway timelines. They can be full-coverage prints, cut-vinyl lettering, or a combination with dimensional letters mounted over a printed background.

Compared with a hand-painted mural, a printed graphic can reproduce photography and fine detail exactly, is installed much faster, and can be replaced later when your brand or space changes.

Materials compared

Adhesive vinyl (about $22/sq ft). The most common choice for smooth painted walls. It is printed, laminated for protection, and applied directly to the wall. Good for most offices, schools, and restaurants.

Removable vinyl (about $24/sq ft). Uses a lower-tack adhesive designed to come off cleanly. A good fit for leased spaces, seasonal or campaign graphics, and anything you expect to change within a few years.

Textured vinyl (about $28/sq ft). Conformable films that can be worked into block, brick, and textured surfaces so the graphic looks painted on. This is what we typically use for gym and athletic walls on concrete block.

Printed wallpaper (about $32/sq ft). Commercial wallcovering printed with your design. Durable and well-suited to large, permanent murals in corridors, lobbies, and healthcare spaces.

Fabric (about $38/sq ft). A premium, matte look with no glare — often used for high-end lobbies and conference rooms.

How the price is calculated

The main factors are the total square footage, the material, the condition of the wall, and how difficult the installation is. Height matters: graphics that need a ladder or lift take longer to install safely than ones that can be applied from the floor.

Larger projects get a better rate. Our estimator applies a volume discount starting at 200 square feet, with deeper discounts at 500 and 1000 square feet. Design time, on-site measurement, and installation are included in the quote so there are no surprises.

Example: a 10 ft × 8 ft (80 sq ft) printed vinyl logo wall starts at roughly $1,760 for the graphic before installation. Get your own working range in about a minute with the instant estimate.

Preparing the wall

For adhesive graphics, the wall should be clean, dry, and painted with fully cured paint — fresh paint needs time to cure before vinyl is applied, or the adhesive and paint can interact. Glossy paints and some low-VOC paints affect adhesion, so tell us about recent paint work when you request a quote.

Block and brick walls are common in schools, gyms, and warehouses. With the right conformable film and technique, graphics can follow the mortar lines. Heavily textured, damp, or damaged walls may need repair first or a different approach, such as mounted panels.

Timeline and installation

A typical wall graphics project moves from site measurement to design and proof, then printing and installation. Once you approve the proof, printing is fast, and most single walls are installed in a day or less. Large, multi-room packages — like a full school gym and athletic hallway — are scheduled over a few days and can be installed during breaks or weekends.

Our own crew installs every project; we do not subcontract installation. See examples from Minooka Community High School and the portfolio.

How long do wall graphics last?

Indoors, laminated printed graphics hold up well for years in normal use, and the laminate makes them wipe-clean. High-traffic areas like gyms and cafeterias benefit from tougher laminates. Removable films are designed for shorter-term use and clean removal.
