Installation & Repair

Who installs the sign is the difference between one that goes up clean and one that fails inspection — or fails in five years. Ours goes up in-house, lift-equipped, and local.

Overview

Every CorPro project we fabricate, we install. But we also install and service signs we didn't make — including channel letters, monument signs, pylons, and LED message centers from other vendors. If you've got a sign that's faded, damaged, out of date, or just needs to come off and be replaced, our crew handles it.

Being local means we don't ship your work to a regional contractor and wait for their schedule. We answer the phone, schedule the lift, and get on site — across the greater Rockford region and out to the Stateline.

Our process

From first measurement to final walkthrough.

  1. 01

    Photo + location

Send us a photo and a street address — that's usually enough to quote a repair, refresh, or replacement.

  2. 02

    Site visit if needed

For monument repair, structural damage, or any install over 12 ft, we come out and assess in person before committing to a schedule.

  3. 03

    Quote

You get an itemized quote: parts, labor, lift time, travel. We don't bundle markup into a single line.

  4. 04

    Schedule the lift

Our crew runs on a fixed weekly schedule — most repairs and refresh jobs are on the calendar within a week. Emergency response for storm or impact damage gets prioritized.

  5. 05

    Cleanup & sign-off

We leave the site clean, document the work for your records, and (for LED message centers) confirm the schedule is running before we leave.

FAQ

Common questions about installation & repair.

If you don't see your question here, the fastest way to get an answer is the quote form — we usually respond within a business day.

Will you service a sign you didn't fabricate?
Yes — channel letters, monument signs, pylons, and LED message centers from any vendor. Most of our service work is on signs other shops made. Send a photo and we'll quote.
Do you do storm or impact-damage response?
Yes. Damaged signs are a priority — both for safety and for your storefront. Call us with photos and we'll schedule the assessment that day if it's local.
What's the cost to convert an old sign to LED?
Depends on cabinet size and condition, but most channel-letter LED conversions land in the $400–$1,200 range per letter set; small illuminated cabinets are similar. You save the cost back in electricity and lamp replacement within 2–3 years.
How far do you travel?
We work routinely across Winnebago, Boone, Stephenson, and McHenry counties — and travel into the Chicago suburbs for larger projects (see our work for Tinley Park, Clarendon Hills, and Arlington Heights). Travel is itemized on the quote.

Installation & Repair, made local.

Repairs and ongoing service are how we keep customers for decades — most of our schools, parks districts, and civic clients call us back every few years for a refresh or addition. If you've got a sign that needs work, send us a photo.
