Monument Signs
Monument signs are the permanent, landscape-coordinated entrance signage that says you've arrived. Brick, stone, fabricated cabinet — engineered to the site.
Best for
Overview
A monument sign is the most architectural piece of exterior signage you can install — it sits in the landscape, it's lit, it's permanent, and it tells visitors they're in the right place. Stone or brick veneer bases, fabricated cabinets, dimensional copy, and landscape coordination all combine to make the sign feel like part of the property.
Our monument work spans churches (Calvary Community Church — large arched cabinet with star-cross logo over a stone-clad base, surrounded by landscape), schools (Hononegah's monument with LED message center), municipalities (Harlem-Roscoe Fire Protection District's stone-clad monument), and multi-tenant business parks.

Our process
How CorPro produces and installs monument signs.
- 01
Site survey + footing engineering
We survey the site, locate utilities, design the footing to local frost-line spec, and produce engineered drawings for permitting.
- 02
Permitting
We pull the sign permit through your municipality. Monument signs often need both a sign permit and a building permit; we coordinate both.
- 03
Footing + base construction
Concrete footings are poured and cured before any masonry. Brick, stone, or block is laid by our masonry partner to the engineered drawings.
- 04
Cabinet + copy install
Cabinet is set, copy is mounted, electrical is hooked up, and LED message centers are commissioned. Install typically takes 2–4 days from footing pour to sign-on.
- 05
Inspection + handoff
Final inspection with your municipality. You get as-built drawings, the LED content management training (if applicable), and warranty documentation.

FAQ
Monument Signs — common questions.
Not seeing your question? The fastest way to get an answer is the quote form — we usually respond within a business day.
- Typical timeline from approved spec: 6–10 weeks. Most of it is permitting and footing-cure time; fabrication is 4 weeks. Weather affects footing pours November–March.
- Easier to design it in from the start (the cabinet, the power, and the controller are all sized differently). Retrofit is possible but typically means rebuilding the cabinet face.
- We work with a small set of regional masonry partners we've used for years. They handle the brick or stone work to our engineered drawings; we handle the cabinet, copy, and electrical.
