Dimensional lettering is the cornerstone of interior signage — it's what makes a lobby look intentional instead of leased. We CNC-cut, route, or flame-polish letters in acrylic, brushed aluminum, brass, or stainless steel, then finish them to match your brand color and mount them flush, stand-off, or on a backer panel depending on the space.
Most of our school, parks district, and corporate work starts with a dimensional logo or wordmark — Challand Middle's reception desk lettering, the Clarendon Hills Park District stairwell installation, the Comply365 conference room identity walls. Each one is built to the same standard: clean cuts, true color, and a mount that disappears when you walk past it.

Site measurement & lighting check
We measure the wall, photograph the lighting, and note any obstacles (outlets, art rails, HVAC). For halo-lit work we also assess wall reflectivity.

Design & to-scale proof
You see the letters laid out in context — scaled against the wall in the actual photo — before we cut anything.
- 03
CNC cut & finish
Letters are routed in-house, deburred, and finished. Painted letters go to our paint booth; brushed metal gets hand-finished to a consistent grain.

Pattern install
Our crew brings a laser-aligned mounting pattern, drills the wall to spec, and sets each letter individually. Most lobby installs finish in a half-day.
- 05
Walkthrough
We walk the space with you, level any letter that needs it, and leave you with care instructions and a touch-up pen if applicable.

- Single letters up to roughly 8 ft tall before structural backing becomes a factor. Most lobby installs land between 6" and 24" — that's the size range where dimensional letters read best at conversational distance.
- Standard dimensional sets — measure to install — runs 3–5 weeks. Custom cast metal or oversized architectural pieces run 6–10 weeks. Rush is possible on small acrylic sets in about 2 weeks.
- Stand-off mounting requires small pilot holes (about ⅛" each) that are easy to patch and paint when the sign comes down. Flush adhesive mounts are removable on glass and sealed metal.
- Yes — send a Pantone, a paint chip, or a sample of the existing sign. We color-match in our paint booth and provide a small sample for approval before we cut the full set.
