Hangry Joe's: comic-book murals and storefront graphics, from Rockford to Texas
A bold, repeatable restaurant brand system — comic-book murals, logo medallions, food graphics, and window vinyl — rolled out across multiple Hangry Joe's locations.
At Hangry Joe's in Rockford, the dining room is wrapped in comic-book panels — “RUN RUN JOE! RUN!” and “GOTCHA!” — featuring the rooster mascot, along with a full-height graffiti-style mural, a round dimensional “Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken / Rockford, IL” medallion on a red wall, photo-real food panels, and “Home of the Mega Sando” window graphics.
The same visual system has been produced for other locations, including black-and-white comic panels in San Marcos, Texas, and graphics for the Tyler, Texas location — showing how a single design library can be adapted to different floor plans.
