Overview

Municipal signage operates by different rules than commercial signage. Spec compliance is non-negotiable. Documentation matters. The signs have to survive a decade of public-facing service. And the brand — public-safety especially — has to read with authority.

Our municipal portfolio includes City of Loves Park Fire Station 1, Harlem-Roscoe Fire Protection District (station ID, stone-clad monument with amber LED message center), Police District 1, Tinley Park Fire dedication plaque, Fitchburg Fire Station 2, and vehicle wraps for the Winnebago County Sheriff.

Our process

How CorPro produces and installs municipal & government signage.

  1. 01

    Spec review + bid

We can quote at proposal, RFP, or spec-and-bid stage. Most municipal procurement runs through a defined process; we work in that format.

  2. 02

    Documented design

Drawings, material specs, finish callouts, anchor details, and mounting heights — all documented for facilities and inspection records.

  3. 03

    Fabrication

Built in our Loves Park shop. Cast bronze runs through our long-standing dedication-grade partner.

  4. 04

    Install + documentation

Lift-equipped install, coordinated with facilities and (where required) public safety scheduling. Full install package documented for records.

  5. 05

    Long-term service

Most of our municipal clients have been with us for 10+ years. We get the call when it's time for the next dedication, the next station, or the next refresh.

FAQ

Municipal & Government Signage — common questions.

Not seeing your question? The fastest way to get an answer is the quote form — we usually respond within a business day.

Do you work through bid/RFP processes?
Yes. We've supplied signage on procurement contracts across Winnebago, Boone, and Cook counties.
Can you match an existing department brand or shield?
Yes. Send the spec — shield artwork, Pantone callouts, font specs, mounting drawings — we replicate to the inch.
Do you do MUTCD-compliant signage?
Yes for the categories that fall under MUTCD (traffic signage and certain park-trail markers). We're not a roadway-signage contractor, but for facility-side and pedestrian work we meet the standard.

Municipal & Government Signage, made local.

Municipal work is the long game — most of our public-safety clients have been with us 10+ years. If your department has signage on the capital plan, we'd love to be on the bid list.
