Overview

A lobby sign isn't just a logo on a wall — it's a brand statement at the threshold. Material choice, depth, illumination, mounting style, and even the placement relative to the reception desk all change how the space reads.

We've built lobby installations for park districts (the Clarendon Hills stairwell wall), middle schools (Challand's reception desk dimensional letters), corporate suites (the Comply365 office), and healthcare facilities. Every install starts with a conversation about the space — not just the logo.

What we make

Every variation of lobby & reception signs we produce.

Common configurations

  • Dimensional logo + wordmark direct-mounted to a feature wall
  • Logo on a contrasting backer panel (great for textured walls)
  • Halo-lit illuminated logos (back-glow against the wall)
  • Front-lit acrylic logos for darker reception areas
  • Reception desk wraps + dimensional applied directly to the desk face

Adding context

  • Mission or values wall paired with the logo
  • Brand-story photo wall surrounding the lobby sign
  • Wayfinding integrated with the reception identification
  • Donor or recognition wall positioned adjacent
  • Photo of operations / install staff with brand background

Our process

How CorPro produces and installs lobby & reception signs.

  1. 01

    Wall + lighting assessment

We measure the lobby, note ambient light levels, and identify where the focal point should sit relative to the reception desk and the entry door.

  2. 02

    Material proposal

We send 2–3 material/finish options scaled to the actual wall, so you can compare a brushed-aluminum option against a halo-lit version side by side.

  3. 03

    Fabrication

Cut, finished, and assembled in our Loves Park shop. Halo-lit pieces get LED modules wired and tested before they ship to install.

  4. 04

    Install with patterning

Laser-aligned templates, leveling at every letter or element, and electrical hookup for illuminated installs. Standard lobby installs finish in a day.

  5. 05

    Photo + handoff

We take a clean photo for our portfolio (with your permission), hand you the care instructions, and document the install for facilities.

FAQ

Lobby & Reception Signs — common questions.

Not seeing your question? The fastest way to get an answer is the quote form — we usually respond within a business day.

What's the difference between a flush logo and a backer-panel install?
Flush installs put the dimensional logo directly on the wall — clean, minimal, and the wall surface has to be smooth. Backer panels add a contrasting material (brushed metal, painted MDO, wood) behind the logo — better for textured walls and for adding visual weight.
Do illuminated lobby signs need an electrician?
We coordinate the low-voltage LED hookup as part of the install. For new electrical drops or junction boxes, we work with your facilities electrician — most existing reception walls already have a usable J-box behind them.
How big should a lobby sign be?
Rule of thumb: the dimensional logo should be readable from where a visitor first enters the lobby — typically 12–24 inches tall for a standard reception area, 30 inches and up for atriums or multi-story open spaces.

Lobby & Reception Signs, made local.

The lobby sign is usually the highest-stakes interior install we do. Send us a photo of the reception area and your brand assets — we'll mock up two or three options.
